8 Photographers; 8 different stories of connection

What does connection mean to you in the context of the natural landscapes and environment of Suffolk?

This was the question posed by landscape photographer Gill Moon at the beginning of 2025.

8 photographers came together with 8 very different bodies of work representing their personal connections with Suffolk’s landscape, wildlife, people and rural ways of life.

The Connection Project is a story of relationships forged between different elements within the landscape and between individual photographers and the locations that inspire them.

The book is 297mm x 210mm in size and features 8 projects, each project includes an artist statement and a body of work consisting of between 6 – 10 images.

The book as a whole contains 70 colour and black and white images and 94 pages.

Photographers taking part in the project include:

Gill Moon, Ian Miller, Ryan Boydell, Rosey Nicholls, Jamie Smith, Sue Jones, ‘Spike’ Graham Howlett, Chris Bowles, Mick Cant and Clare Hogston
