Outdoor Photography Sessions
My outdoor sessions are a great way to get really natural looking images of your pet. We can either use one of my favourite locations which could be in the forest, heathland or on the coast or we can use a location that is important to you and your pet.
Outdoor sessions are suitable for multiple dogs and we will cover a variety of scenes and poses to ensure we get as many images as possible.
Outdoor Sessions cost £110 and include:

- Up to 2 hours in the glorious Suffolk Countryside where we will capture a variety of images using different backgrounds and poses.
- Up to 2 dogs included in the session fee (£25 for each additional dog in the same family.)
- 30+ hand edited images to chose from for your artwork.
- A viewing and ordering session at my studio in Hollesley .

What to expect from your outdoor pet photography session
Having a photographic session with your pet should be a fun, relaxed and rewarding experience. To make sure everything goes well on the day here is a little information about what to expect.
Booking your session
Sessions can be booked 7 days a week. Weekend sessions tend to get booked up quickly so if you would like a session for a particular occasion please book well in advance. When I am shooting outside I like to shoot early in the morning or later in the afternoons as this is when the light is at its best. This is particularly true of a sunny day when I like to have some shade cover if possible. Defused light is much more flattering than harsh sunlight which tends to produce high contrast and dark shadows. If it is overcast I am happy to shoot in the middle of the day, but judging the weather can be difficult when booking in advance. If it is pouring with rain on the day I am happy to reschedule the shoot.
Session fees are payable at the time of booking to secure the slot. These can be paid by bank transfer or card using Paypal.
Upon booking I will send a full product catalogue and price list. It is useful to have a look and get an idea for what you might like as this will help when planning the shoot.
Typically most clients invest between £400 and £1200 on their pet photography experience.
Pre session consultation
Included in the cost of your session is a pre session consultation. These usually take place over the phone and can be conducted at the time of booking if you wish. These consultations are an essential part of my shoot planning. We will discuss the location, your pet – his colouring and temperament, and what you may like to do with the images after the shoot.
Usually owners choose one of my favoured locations but I am more than happy to explore new places. So if you have a favourite walk or somewhere your dog loves to go then please let me know.
I will contact you a couple of days prior to the shoot to discuss the weather and make sure you are happy with everything. I always bring a few treats and a ball with me but please feel free to bring a favourite toy or your own treats as finding something that your doing will do anything for is always a great help.
I want my shoots to be as much fun and as relaxing as possible and I realise that dogs don’t always do as they are told. There will be an element of posing involved during the shoot, so it is always useful to know before hand whether your dog needs to be kept on a lead and whether he will sit and stay.
Where ever we conduct the shoot I always take a wide variety of shots using several different backgrounds and poses. These include:
Portraits – head shots, quarter and full body shots
Action images in a variety of landscapes
Details – features from close range including paws, eyes and tail.
At the end of the shoot I will have taken hundreds of images which will then be edited down for you to a guaranteed 30+ which will be shown to you at the ordering session. Ordering sessions are usually booked at the end of the shoot and take place about a week later. Here you can choose the images you would like for your folio or for any additional wall art.
Free consultation and ordering session
These take place at my studio in Hollelsey where you will be able to see all the edited images and have a look at sample products.
I offer a wide range of products which are all produced using professional labs. There are many options for wall art including canvases, metal prints and acrylics. If you would like more than one image I offer collages or albums or digital image packages.
A full product range with prices will be sent to you when you book your initial session.
Products are usually available for collection 4 – 6 weeks after ordering.
