One to One Workshops

I offer small informal workshops on the beautiful Suffolk Coast with a maximum of two people at any one time. Come on your own or bring a friend. The cost is per session with an extra £20 for a second person (which covers the second lunch)

Discover some of my favourite photographic locations in full day workshops which are designed to be relaxed and fun and will hopefully show a wilder side to the Suffolk Coast.

Learn how to take well composed beautiful images. For me photography is not all about the latest gear, it is much more about connecting with the landscape and ‘seeing’ what is around you. All my workshops are tailored to your specific requirements and we will discuss these beforehand, but typically we will cover camera settings, exposure, composition, ‘seeing the landscape’ filters, and creative techniques.

I have been photographing the Suffolk Coast for over ten years and have built a deep love and understanding for the landscape which hopefully I will be able to pass on to you during your time with me.

What’s included:

A full day (6 hours) tuition for one person or bring a friend for an extra £20

A pre session consultation to discover your requirements and what you would like from your time with me (usually via email)

Photography out on the Suffolk Coast covering several different locations

Transport between locations

Photographic tuition tailored to your requirements –

this could include camera settings, composition, exposure, ‘seeing the landscape’, filters and creative techniques

One course lunch with drink at one of my chosen locations

A full set of printed course notes to take home

Email critique of images after the session.

£150

Photographic workshops make ideal gifts. If you would like to purchase a workshop as a gift please mention this on the booking form and I will send you a free gift card with your order.

A few comments from recent guests

‘It was a real treat to spend the day with Gill, visiting Southwold, Walberswick and surrounds, then back to Aldeburgh with photos at the Scallop. The ever-changing weather gave us the opportunity to experiment with both composition and the technical aspects of photography. Gill is a real expert and an excellent teacher, and I would thoroughly recommend this trip out.’  Eleanor

‘Not only was was the day useful, it was a real pleasure spending time with Gill. I thoroughly enjoyed her company for the day’. Phil
