Fields of barley – Snape

I love Suffolk in the springtime, the colours are fresh and vibrant and there is so much life all around. It was the colour of this field of barley that caught my eye, a muted aquamarine shimmering in the breeze. The green hues of the oak trees on the field edge and the white blooms of the hawthorns added a lovely contrast to the delicate colour of the barley. Above me the skylarks were singing and on the edge of the field a muntjac explored the short grass along the footpath.

I set up my camera to capture this little corner of rural England hoping that I could portray in my image some of the calmness that I felt from the scene in front of me.
