Calgary Bay, Isle of Mull
You can’t beat a Christmas Day walk on Calgary Beach – more intoxicating than the traditional Christmas spirit and much better for the soul. The day was bright and crisp and the air was still, just the sound of oyster catchers calling from the beach to break the tranquility. I love the sandy beach here with its marram covered dunes but it is worth talking the footpath at the base of the rocky outcrops and exploring the bay out towards the sea.
My inspiration for this image was the amazing late afternoon light and the colours that this brought out in the rocks and boulders on the shore.
