Gravie Bay

Garvie Bay, Achnahaird

This has to be one of my favourite hidden beaches on the West Coast. Accessed by following a wet and boggy path along the side of Loch Garvie this is a gorgeous tranquil spot that can be shared with the wildlife alone.

The small beach is sandy, but as you walk around the coast the sand gives way to boulders and rocky outcrops and some amazing rock pools at low tide. The views across the bay to the mountains of Stac Pollaidh and Suilven are amazing.
